Mountains
Australia's mountain ranges are generally not as extensive as those on other continents:
- Great Dividing Range - Running parallel to the east coast, it's the largest mountain range in Australia.
- Snowy Mountains - Located in New South Wales and part of the Great Dividing Range, it's the highest mountain range in Australia.
- Flinders Ranges - Located in South Australia, known for its dramatic landscapes and rich Aboriginal history.
- Australian Alps - Located in southeastern Australia, including parts of Victoria, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory, known for skiing and alpine environments.
